The gang says so long to Vinny
A ‘Jersey Shore’ recap

Let's first have a moment of silence for our fallen solider Vincenzo Guadagnino.
OK... that's done. Last week that really seemed like the way the roommates handled it too! Everyone copes with bad situations in different ways. Some people, like JWOWW, don’t seem to care. Others drunk cry like Deena.
Roommates like Ronnie wear skinny jeans to honor their friend, and of course the best friend pays his respects by getting it on.
"I'm gonna smash this girl in Vinny's bed in honor of Vinny leaving the house." Get 'em Pauly.
Of course the Meatballs honor Vinny by having a day-drink fest. Drama and hook-ups aside, the best part of this show is seeing drunk Deena and Snooki Jersey turnpiking all over the place and getting sloppy. We even got a real treat last week and got to see them combat in their natural habitat with a dance-off.
We learn why Deena loves gay men: “I can hang out with gay men all frickin’ day! You can get frickin’ hammered and you don’t have to worry about giving them a blow job at the end of the night.” Preach girl! Preach!
Last week we were introduced to a new word! Screw DTF, GTL, smooshing — we now say MERP people! Still figuring out 100 percent what it means, but ‘lezbehonest’ the roommates don’t really use vocabulary correctly.
The next night Snooki goes out with Jionni and Mike sees “prime witness” The Unit at the club. Mike goes on a drama mission he calls Gym, Tan, The truth will set you free. The drama doesn’t go down and The Unit ends up getting a well-deserved boot out of Karma.
We also celebrated Pauly D’s birthday last week. Paul DelVecchio was born on July 5, 1980. The roommates made a cake, his family all came down and his mother gave him the greatest present, getting his barber from home to surprise him with an at home haircut. He looked like he had just seen Santa!
The family then goes to Rivoli’s for a delicious dinner with wine, food and cake! Oh forgot to mention that it was also Mike’s birthday. Michael Sorrentino was born July 4, 1982.
Mike seems surprised that he “gym, tans and sets the truth free” and rats out his roommates, and they don’t want to hang out with him and make him feel special on his birthday! I know, I don’t understand it either!
We end last week with a big blow-up from Mike slamming the door and “doin’ the dip.” As I said last week, he will be back!
Speaking of returning, the gang is heading to Vinny’s to get him back! TMZ reported on July 10 that Vinny indeed returns to Seaside Heights. Let me also point out that they report him leaving the house on July 2. It’s hard to believe it with all the dramatic editing and music, but Vinny was only gone for eight days total.
Thursday’s episode is going to be a good one. The gals plan a birthday celebration for the birthday boys complete with cake, booze and strippers! Mike’s attendance is still up in the air; I can see him coming back either this week or next.
Let’s all cross our fingers that Thursday’s episode is both a grenade-free and Mike-free hour!
