MUSIC

Lionel the Jailbird, a rock & roll/ blues band from Columbus, will be playing this Thursday at Woodlands. Their unique, strong sound is gaining them a lot of attention on the local scene, as is their extensive list of downloadable audio on their website, lionelthejailbird.com/bootlegs. With beautiful female vocals by the sassy lead singer, Dominique De Biasio, William Dudley on guitar, Jonathan Giacalone on bass, and Mitchell Rowland on drums, this band is sure to entertain as they make their presence known in the Columbus music scene.

FASHION

Traxler Tees offers a wide variety of quality, hand-screened T-shirts for any student’s fashion needs. The business is based in Columbus, buying solely from Ohio wholesalers, screen printing only in Ohio, and only hiring Ohioans. Their motto, “Buy local, buy Ohio,” is at the core of their sales approach. Take a look at their website, traxlertees.com, to find OSU-centric T-shirts, such as “This is Urban’s City” and “Occupy Ohio” tees.

HAPPY HOUR/SPECIALS

Each Monday, Mad Mex offers an array of deals from 4 until 9 p.m., including “$5 ‘big azz’ margaritas” and $6 “All you can eat” burritos. For those who can’t make it during the week, Mad Mex also has a daily happy hour from 10 p.m. until midnight, offering 22 oz. beers for 16 oz. prices.
